Is Arcanan available to sign up for?
Yes. Sign-up is self-serve and free at app.arcanan.com — no invite and no card. Every account starts on the free plan, which runs on two API keys you bring yourself: one market-data provider key and one LLM key. Paid plans are upgraded to from inside the app.
How much does Arcanan cost?
Arcanan has three plans. Free is $0/month with desktop and web apps, charts and quotes from your own market-data key, research agent on your own LLM key (25 turns a day), filings and financials from EDGAR, and FRED economic data, watchlists, alerts, screeners, and the trade journal. Pro is $49.99/month ($499.90/year) with licensed market data hosted by us, hosted AI with 25 million tokens a month, agent write actions that you still approve, always-on server alerts, mobile app, live trading. What does the free plan include?
The full desktop and web app on your own keys: charts and quotes from your market-data provider or, on the desktop app, from your broker's gateway; the research agent on your LLM key with read-only tools and 25 turns a day; SEC filings and as-reported financials from EDGAR; FRED economic data; and watchlists, alerts, screeners, paper trading, and the trade journal. Alerts are evaluated while the app is open, and the mobile app is on the paid plans.
Does the AI copilot place trades on my behalf?
No. The copilot researches, runs analysis, and proposes actions, but every action requires your explicit approval before it executes. You keep the final call on every decision.
Which brokers does Arcanan connect to?
Interactive Brokers, through TWS or IB Gateway, and Futu/moomoo, through OpenD — both available today, with more brokers planned. Broker connections run through the desktop app on your own machine: your broker logins never leave your computer, orders execute locally, and Arcanan never holds your broker credentials. The desktop app can also serve charts and quotes straight from your broker's gateway, so no vendor market-data key is needed. Everyone can paper trade; real-money trading is on the paid plans and enabled per account after review.
What platforms does Arcanan run on?
The desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux is the recommended way to run Arcanan on the free plan: it keeps your data on your own machine and is where Interactive Brokers and Futu connect. Download it from arcanan.com/download; on Arch it installs from the AUR as arcanan-desktop-bin. The same terminal also runs in the browser at app.arcanan.com, minus broker connectivity. Mobile apps for iOS and Android are in development and will ship on the paid plans.
What can the screener filter on?
The screener slices 38,000+ securities by fundamentals and technicals — sector, valuation ratios such as P/E, momentum indicators such as RSI, and moving-average relationships. Filters stack, and the result set narrows live as you add them.
How does Arcanan detect chart patterns?
Automated sweeps run continuously across the whole market and flag triangles, wedges, channels, and head-and-shoulders formations. Each detection carries a tiered confidence score so you can tell a textbook setup from a marginal one, and pattern completions can trigger alerts.
Is Arcanan financial advice?
No. Arcanan is a research and analysis tool, not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer. Nothing it produces is financial advice, you make your own decisions, and markets involve risk.
